The Cleveland Indians
1. I don't know if Acta is the right guy but he sure has a positive vibe to him and that's a good thing. They seem to be responding well to him in Spring Training. Only time will tell if that will carry. It would be great for it to happen.
2. Jeremy Sowers is not a starter. He's too frustrating to watch and it's like the Indians are paranoid because of the Brandon Phillips trade. I'm not sure he's a bullpen pitcher but he sure isn't a starter and gives up too many runs and doesn't last long. Granted, he probably isn't healthy but when he was, he wasn't exactly Mr. effective.
3. The AL Central is wide open no matter what anyone says. There is no one that is scary in that division.
4. The key will be Westbrook, Carmona, and Hafner. It's pretty unusual to put all their eggs on those ones to be superstars. You can throw Masterson to adapt but even then, it seems crazy.

5. Kerry Wood will be starting the season on the DL. It's a shame but maybe it's time he should consider retirement from baseball. He has had injury problems and that's not a knock on him but sometimes it has to be done with chronic injuries.
