So the melbourne storm will be the nrl minor premiers with a week still to run before the finals begin.
I like the name the melbourne storm, it's clever because the city of melbourne is noted for it's eratic and unpredictable weather.
Of course their is no truth in the rumour that russell crowe, king bunny himself will be changing the name from the south sydney rabbitohs to the drought if they don't start winning.
But back to the storm maybe we should rename our teams after what the city is famous for sydney would be the traffic jams, everyone is afraid of them.
The darwin sweat, canberra pornstars, roundabouts or polititions and the adelaide coma because nothing happens there.
I have searched the world wide web for the weirdest sports name and and this is what I found.the dayton triangles, columbus bullies, the la aftershock, denver ambrose jellymakers, the boston beaneaters and my favourite is the houston gamblers who are no longer around and I'm pretty sure I know what happened to them, I'm mick signing off as captain of the meredith baldies
