: WWF Light Heavyweight Title History
Once upon a time, the WWF used to have a Light Heavyweight Championship. It seemed to be the matter of making it as a way of countering the WCW Cruiserweight Championship. They had wrestlers competing in that division. Now, the history of it with the company started in 1997.

The WWF Light Heavyweight Title has some history that has been around and was once the answer to the WCW Cruiserweight Title. This championship actually did exist at one point and was not an official title for the World Wrestling Federation. It could be interesting to note that the title itself actually has history with other notable names holding on to the championship title. For this purpose only, it is going to be about the history going from 1997 to 2001.
