grand finals

Well It is my favourite week of the whole year. That's right the last week of peace before the kids tear apart my house for the school holidays, only joking, it is both footy codes grand finals.
If you have been living under a rock which would be mighty uncomfortable when you think about it all out of town teams will contest the afl and rugby league grand finals.
It is that time of the year when we choose a new team to go for because our team was so disapointing and some of us even pretend we have barracked for this new team all our lives.
It is that time of year when we decorate our houses in streamers, posters and some of us even do the extreme makeover of painting the old fibro shack in the team colours.
Yes that time of the year when if you lose the remote control it is the end of the world and when you do find it you put in a small leash and have a bullet belt of batteries around your waste just in case.
That time of the year when it is appropriate to go to the bottle shop with a shopping trolley.
That special time of the year when the local clown is flat out doing team footy colours face paint.
And at the end of it all, we see grown men cry.
Jeez I love my footy.Cheers
