Assessment of the Cavs

Normally, I rotate but for this it's time to take a look at them and see what can be looked upon. They are 15-7 and currently leading the division. They've lost games they shouldn't have. Then again, who doesn't? If anyone suggest the Celtics, Magic, or Lakers, then you'd be wrong. They lose games they're not supposed to as well. This one is going to be focused on the Cavaliers.
Mike Brown does take heat no matter what happens. They could go all the way to the Finals and win it and you'd have some say he should be fired or it was in spite of him. It takes a combination of coaching and players working together. You can see they work together. It isn't about having losing seasons consistently, it's about doing what is necessary. To fire Mike Brown would be crazy. It probably and this is just my opinion be counter-productive. Unless there's some super coach out there that would come to Cleveland and can do a much better job and win multiple titles, he may be the one. What is wrong with that?
The teams have adjusted to Hickson. He has to now go through an adjustment to get others frustrated by doing whatever it takes. It comes down to figuring out how to use him but not to the point of what knowing what he is going to do. In fact, get them to double and triple team LeBron or Shaq or whoever has the ball and then give it to Hickson if it can be done and enough time on the shot clock.
LeBron has to do more and cut his turnovers down. That has to be addressed and must be taken into account. That does not mean go out and do all the scoring by himself because that never works. He has to know that and I would think for all the talent he has, he would know what would be needed to win.
Overall, there just needs to be some work configured. Rotation wise could be fixed and while we are at it, get the free throw shooting up. Just because this team isn't a run and gun team and never has been doesn't mean they are not capable of putting out a solid offense. They've had a few games so far scoring over 100 but sometimes the defense gives up that much and that team cannot win unless they play strong defense and keeps the opposition from scoring too much. It may be 1/4th of the way done with the season, but that doesn't mean that there isn't room for improvement.
